Care:
Our brass pieces have a uniform, satin textured finish. We apply a coat of specialty wax to each piece before they leave our studio. The wax serves as a protective barrier for the material to preserve the luster of the piece and slow the oxidation process. This finish was formulated by the British Museum for preserving priceless artefacts.
Due to the oxidising nature of brass, a gentle patina will blossom over time, with each piece developing it's own unique character. If desired, the pieces can regain their original luster with a light polish (care guides available).
